‘Harvest’ is the name given to the naturally beautiful creation by the London designer, Asif Khan. As y’all can see, it’s a collection of furniture pieces made of freeze-dried flowers. Designed as part of the Designers in Residence program at the Design Museum London, Asif taking the advantage of Gypsophila plant’s natural ability to interlock has come up with really beautiful pieces of home furniture. What exactly the designer did was he had put the harvested plant material into molds and freeze-dried them over several weeks thereby bonding with a linseed oil-based resin. For those who would love to check out these mesmerizing pieces can visit the Design Museum for these will remain on show in The Tank outside the museum until 15 March.
